PAOLO SCHIANCHI

«Paolo Schianchi is one of the most incredible musicians I have ever come across in my entire career.» (Charlie Rapino, UK - Sony, Decca, Polydor)

«One of the most incredible musicians of our time. He is one of those rare musicians who forced me to reconsider what is possible in music. Calling Schianchi a virtuoso is like calling Pavarotti a "good" singer. He is the rare blend of fearsome talent and humility of soul." (Jim Donovan, USA - Multi-platinum recording artist, Carlos Santana, Led Zeppelin, Sting)

Paolo Schianchi is an Italian out-of-the-ordinary musician and performer, able to master all existing variations of the guitar, from the Renaissance lute to electric guitars, to unique instruments which he has created. In 2016 he was granted with a special US visa for life (Green Card EB-1, the so called "Einstein visa") for “artists with extraordinary abilities”, the most difficult to get, and usually destined for Nobel Prizes.

He designed two instruments which are unique worldwide: a 49-string guitar (made specially for him by the Argentine luthier Carlos Roberto Michelutti), and the Octopus® guitar system (an electro-acoustic system that enables Paolo Schianchi to play several guitars contemporarily using both hands and feet, mixing and manipulating sounds in real time and exclusively live).

Paolo Schianchi has performed solo concerts in prestigious theaters and other venues both in Italy (like the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome) and in the US (Carnegie Museum, World Bank, etc.), consistently receiving enthusiastic acclaim from both critics and audiences, and often a full house. He has also performed live on several occasions as a soloist on national TV shows in Italy and on American networks.
In 2017 he was also invited by the Italian TV show “Tu Si Que Vales” (the equivalent of America's Got Talent) on prime time, where he received great acclaim and where his performance hit the national viewing record with almost 6 million people watching .

Paolo is also the founder and director of the “Innovatory of Music”, an international project dedicated to young music professionals. Through this project Paolo Schianchi aims to help the most talented youngsters in Italy and the United States, giving them the opportunity to play overseas and to embark on a real musical career.

programma IT

"There are few words to describe the emotions I experienced in that concert... The Innovatorio stage brought magic into the air, without too many words, without even knowing each other. And I think this is what making music really means: putting aside if ourselves as people, letting ourselves go only to sensations and emotions so that we can become one with each other."

VERONICA / VIOLIN

EMILIANO VERNIZZI / SAX (Teacher)

"I feel a great sense of gratitude towards those who accompanied me in this experience, it was exciting to be included in this wonderful project alongside established artists."

PIETRO / VIOLIN

"The innovation is a courageous project, as are the guys who performed with me on the stage of the Torrechiara festival in 2018. I was particularly struck by how simply they managed to transform that normal tension you feel before getting on the stage stage in enthusiasm and pure energy. They gave their all and with high level results, thanks above all to careful studio work done on themselves and on the control of their abilities. In addition to the satisfaction with their professional results, for me it is It was first and foremost a beautiful human exchange.."

"Playing with young talents allows you to absorb their energy and at the same time pass on your experience to them who are thirsty for it; it's a necessary exchange for both of you to improve as musicians!"

PHIL MER / DRUMS (Teacher)
