The project was created to promote the Italian language starting from an "other" context. Young people are put in contact with Italy and its beauties, products and exceptional people in various fields. Students are not just spectators, but are involved and made an active part in every phase of the project. They become the protagonists of the story that the two schools write during a school year, at the end of which the expected educational objectives are the expansion of linguistic, geographical, cultural, folkloristic, artistic and culinary knowledge of the two countries and the strengthening of skills communication and oral comprehension.

Planned activities:

  • Translation of Sarzana's tourist signs into English by American students.

  • Production of the video of the two schools with presentation of the students.

  • Participation inDìDC podcast of Casa Italiana, through interviews and special broadcasts.

  • Exchange program for 2 American and 2 Italian students who will spend 2 or 3 weeks in the twin school, staying with their family and regularly going to school with their classmates, with the awarding of a scholarship.

  • Every last Thursday of the month: exchanges via Zoom between the two high schools with interviews and meetings.
